Rental Cabin Checkout Procedures

• Checkout time is 11:00 A.M.. It is very important that you checkout on time unless a later checkout time has been agreed upon.
• A great deal of work MUST be done to prepare the cabin for the next guest arrival. A delay in your departing will result in the cabin not being ready by 3:00 p.m. for the next guest.
• Like you, they are very excited and want to be in their cabin on time as well.
• Please understand these cabins are privately owned and well loved.
• We do not expect you to clean the cabin before your leave, but please do leave it as neat and undamaged as you would hope someone would leave yours.
• Please place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and "start it" before leaving the cabin.
• Please do not allow food to bake on the glass top stoves.
• Dish soap is provided for you under the kitchen sink. DO NOT put the coffee carafe or filter basket in the dishwasher.
• Pull comforter back on all beds that have been used so we are aware that the linens need to be changed.
• If you use a sleeper sofa or futon, please take off all linens and place in laundry area.
• Please place all used towels, washcloths and kitchen linens in the bathtub closest to laundry area. PLEASE no wet towels on wood floors as this can damage them.
• Please place all games, movies, cards in their proper boxes and return them to their proper places.
• Please leave all open food items in the refrigerator & freezer. These items will be thrown away by Housekeeping. Any unopened items left are fine. House keeping will appreciate it.
• If you use the grill, please make sure that it, along with all utensils. has been left clean. Make sure the propane tank is TURNED OFF and the grill is cool with the cover closed or placed back on.
• If you use the hot tub DO NOT place any dish soap. bubbles or anything else in the hot tub. This will cause a loss in deposit and extra cleaning fee. Please make sure the cover is on and replaced tightly.
• If you use the wood burning fireplace, please make sure that all the ashes have been taken out to the metal ash can provided. ABSOLUTELY no ashes or unburned wood in the plastic cans.
• Please do not move the furniture. If you must move the furniture, please return it to its proper place before leaving the cabin.
• Turn the thermostat to 55 degrees in the winter, and 80 degrees in the summer.
• Turn off all lights, ceiling fans and TV's before leaving the cabin.
• Please make certain that your GARBAGE IS WRAPPED AND SECURED TIGHTLY IN GARBAGE BAGS AND PLACED IN GARBAGE BINS PROVIDED OUTSIDE WITH THE LID SECURELY FASTENED.
• Garbage bags are provided for you under the kitchen sink. The garbage service will not pick up any loose garbage in the cans. Failure to follow these instructions, including the placement of loose garbage into the containers, will result in an additional cleaning fee.
• It is very likely that guests will be checking in on the same day you leave so please make sure that you take all of your personal items before you leave.
• Make sure all the windows and doors are locked.
• Place the key back in the lock box and turn the combination to anything other than the code provided for you.
